Privacy policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
Doneeat is designed to know as little as possible. This page explains what stays on your device, what leaves it when you use an optional feature, and what we deliberately never keep.
What stays on your device
Your profile, plans, meals, workouts, health check-ins, reports and chat history are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. Doneeat does not upload your diary to the developer's servers.
If you export a backup, it is a file you create and keep yourself.
AI features and your content
AI is optional and off until you enable it. You can choose either your own OpenAI-compatible model endpoint (with your own API key) or Doneeat AI Cloud. Photo meal check-in, health report analysis, the weekly report and chat send only the content you choose to the endpoint you selected.
In local mode, Doneeat does not receive, relay or store the content of those requests. In cloud mode, Doneeat's AI service relays the request to the model provider for processing and keeps no copy of the content. Doneeat never keeps your photos, report images, prompts or responses. In cloud mode it stores only your Apple user identifier, session tokens, quota counters and request metadata (model, capability, token counts, latency). The model provider processes the request under its own terms.
AI is available with Doneeat Pro or with a 20-use trial after Sign in with Apple.
Health data
Apple Health access is opt-in, with a master switch and per-metric switches. Health data read from Apple Health is used on your device to show trends and reminders; it is not uploaded to the developer.
Activity data is read-only and never enters your calorie budget.
Sign in with Apple
Core tracking needs no account. Sign in with Apple is used for subscription ownership, AI trial identity and iCloud sync ownership. We receive a random user identifier.
If you choose to share your name or email with Apple, Doneeat stores it on your device only; it is not sent to the developer.
iCloud sync
iCloud sync is off by default. If you enable it, your profiles and records mirror to your private CloudKit database. The developer does not operate that database and cannot read it.
Subscriptions
Doneeat Pro is purchased through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; Doneeat never sees your payment details.
No analytics, no tracking
Doneeat does not include advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and does not use tracking identifiers.
Your controls
You can edit or delete individual records, export a JSON backup, and clear all data in Settings. Deleting the app removes its local data. If iCloud sync is on, you can remove the synced copy from iCloud as well.
Signing out in Settings disconnects your Apple ID; local records remain until you clear them.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
